OUR MISSION

-Guided by the Holy Spirit, we recognize the church is in a never-ending process of growth, re-formation and reconciliation.
As a welcoming, all-inclusive community of faith, we believe Jesus commands us to love one another, to practice radical hospitality, and to serve all without stipulations. As a loving, caring, forgiving community, centered in Jesus Christ, we make room at God's table for all, including those who have known the pain of exclusion and discrimination in the church and society. We value the uniqueness of each individual as created in the image of God. We welcome you to join us, no matter your race, culture, ethnicity, age, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, physical and mental abilities, socioeconomic position, family status, background, or where you are in your faith journey. You are a unique and beloved child of God. You are accepted and affirmed just as you are -- with all your differences and all your gifts. In addition, we embrace the work of social and economic justice, and environmental care, and commit ourselves to the work of anti-racist space through the protection against oppression internally, in institutions, interpersonally and structurally. As a place for everyone, we affirm our diversity, unified by Jesus Christ in a faith that transcends our differences. We invite all people to journey with us in God’s mission at St. John’s. St John's Lutheran Church exists to nurture people of all ages on the journey of faith in Jesus Christ, to support those in need, and to reach out into the community with God's healing and love.
