Financial Secretary Duties
St John’s is looking for a new Financial Secretary starting January 2024. According to the St John’s constitution, the Financial Secretary may hold this position for up to 4 consecutive years. Joyce Tristch is currently completing her 4th year. The role of the Financial Secretary includes:
- coordinating the weekly counters
- assigning envelope numbers
- recording the weekly donations in a database
- reviewing the counter sheet
- ensuring the bank deposit occurs in a timely manner
- issuing quarterly financial statements to donors
- tracking the 2023 pledges versus donations
- serving on the Finance committee
- providing the year-end report for the annual Congregation meeting
- maintaining the financial database,
TREASURER DUTIES
St John’s is looking for a new Treasurer starting January 2024. According to the St John’s constitution, the Treasurer may hold this position for up to 4 consecutive years. Cindy Haag is currently completing her 4th year. The role of the Treasurer includes:

- reviewing and paying the bills
- paying the St John’s employees
- keeping track of monthly expenses
- reporting monthly financial status to Congregation Council
- following financial investments and making transactions based on Finance Committee and Council approval
- tracking the 2022/2023 deficit and informing Council when money needs to be transferred from investment accounts
- serving on the Finance committee
- providing the year-end report for the annual Congregation meeting
- maintaining the financial databases
- filing monthly taxes.
